Management education and training since 1993
CODECS is a Bucharest company for management education and professional training. It was founded in 1993 by the first 25 Romanian students of The Open University Business School and today runs professional diploma programmes, training for companies, Lean Six Sigma courses and nationally recognised certifications. Tender Group has been its majority shareholder since 2010.
From 1993 to today
Foundations
1993–1997
- 1993
The first 25 Romanian students of The Open University Business School found CODECS – Centre for Open Distance Education for a Civil Society.
- 1995
CODECS signs a master agreement with The Open University and becomes its exclusive partner in Romania.
- 1996
The national network is completed with 10 regional centres.
- 1997
The Open Print printing house is set up.
Expansion
1998–2004
- 1998
Launch of CODECS Publishing, the Training and Consultancy Division and CODECS Business Travel.
- 2000
CODECS introduces the Project Management programme in Romania.
- 2001
The CODECS Foundation for Leadership is created, together with the “Leaders of the Third Millennium” programme.

CODECS Club opens for graduates of the diploma and MBA programmes.
